Who We Are
Elim OSCAR is a not-for-profit Charitable Trust, operating as a Ministry of the Elim Church Hastings. We care for children before and after school and during the school holidays. We actively promote Christian values in everything we do.
Our Values are Faith, Hope and Love.
These values drive our programme content, how we manage behaviour, our commitment to the community and the way we interact with our programme participants, their whanau, our staff and volunteers.
Our staff guidelines are strict. We employ fun, energetic, creative, adaptable, professional and compassionate people. We have a great team who’ll help your child enjoy themselves, make friends and experience new things.
We operate on a 1:10 ratio on-site and a 1:8 ratio off-site. During swimming or water-related off-site activities, we have a 1:6 ratio. We have a minimum of 5 qualified first aiders on programme days. All supervisors are over 20 years of age. Staff, volunteers and church staff are police-vetted in accordance with the Vulnerable Children’s Act 2014, and ElimKids Policies. Everyone is reference checked to ensure they are the best people to be working with your children.
